Cathleen Hedgecock
Graduated from Montreat College with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. She holds licenses as a clinical mental health counselor and a clinical addiction specialist. Additionally, she is certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for treating personality disorders and has received training in Autplay therapy and various trauma-focused therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy.
With seven years of clinical experience, Cathleen has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and several other mental health conditions. She is dedicated to helping individuals recognize their strengths and fostering the belief that there is always hope.

“I earned my Master of Health Science (MHS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Catawba College in 2024 and currently work as an associate with Clearer Minds Counseling & Consulting. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, I provide a safe, supportive space for individuals navigating life’s challenges.
I am dedicated to helping clients explore their experiences, build healthier coping strategies, and foster meaningful personal growth. As a strong believer in the healing power of connection, I strive to create authentic, trusting relationships where clients feel seen, heard, and respected.
My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques. With more than 25 years of experience in the counseling field, Judith Chappell is a dedicated mental health and substance use therapist here at Clearer Minds Counseling and Consulting. Now semi-retired, Judith brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate, faith-based approach to her practice, providing a safe space for adults to navigate life’s complexities and achieve lasting well-being
Judith specializes in treating trauma and co-occurring conditions in adults using evidence-based modalities, including:

“I am a Mental Health Counselor Associate dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional wellness and personal growth. I am a wife and a mother of three wonderful kiddos. I am working to get my full licensure in North Carolina as a Mental Health Counselor. I work with a big range of clients ages 5 and up. I work with all types of clients who are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and relationship difficulties.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.I believe that everyone has the capacity for change and healing.
